Bryan Kortis, co-founder of Neighborhood Cats, currently serves as Executive Director. A graduate of Cornell University and the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, he has experience as both an attorney and a filmmaker ("WTC Uncut," "Neighborhood Cats," "How to Perform a Mass Trapping".)  He began working with ferals when he saw firsthand that the situation for street cats in New York City was dire and a new approach like TNR was needed.

Meredith Weiss joined Neighborhood Cats in February of 2000 after learning the basics of TNR and successfully implementing the method in the many colonies in her lower Manhattan neighborhood.  In addition to her role as Feral Cat Coordinator for NYC, Meredith has been widely recognized for her compelling photography of feral cats, her work appearing in Cat Fancy, the NY Times and Newsday, among others.  She recently received a Certificate of Excellence and a Muse Medallion from the Cat Writers Association for her color photography series appearing in the Fall 2003 issue of ASPCA's Animal Watch.

Emma Cobb acted as co-director of "How to Perform a Mass Trapping," Neighborhood Cats' educational video on how to TNR an entire feral cat colony. An editor as well as a filmmaker, she received her B.A. from Harvard College and did graduate work in religion at Columbia University. She looks after a colony of cats in Riverside Park.
