Workshop-O-Rama Coming 10/13!

1 day...3 TNR Workshops!

September 30, 2012

If you've been thinking about helping feral and stray cats in your community, but aren't sure what to do, here's some good news: Saturday, October 13, 2012 is Workshop-O-Rama, when not one, not two, but three Neighborhood Cats TNR Workshops will be offered at locations in and around New York City! Come learn how to care for free-roaming cats in your neighborhood using the method known as Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and start making use of the many resources now available to assist you.

Each half-day session will cover the steps needed to set up a managed colony, including establishing good community relations, feeding, winter shelter, arranging veterinary care, finding recovery space, safely handling feral cats and trapping (with an emphasis on conducting a mass trapping of an entire feral cat colony at once). Successful completion of the Workshop earns TNR certification, access to free and low-cost spay/neuter services, free trap loans and expert guidance and assistance.

There's more! We'll be giving away great Workshop-O-Rama prizes, to help our newly-certified trappers get off on the right paw. At each October 13 Workshop attendees will be entered in a random drawing to win:

  • First Prize, 1 Neighborhood Cats Trap (1 winner per Workshop)
  • Second Prize,  $25 AMEX Gift Card (1 winner per Workshop)
  • Third Prize, DVD, Neighborhood Cats video, How to Perform a Mass Trapping (2 winners per Workshop)

Workshop-O-Rama Workshops will be held in Staten Island, the Bronx and Hempstead, LI. Space is limited and advance registration is required so don't wait...sign up today!
