The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS),
with the support of the Petco Foundation, presents a six city
workshop series entitled, "Implementing a Communitywide
Trap-Neuter-Return Program for Feral Cats." Featuring instruction by
Bryan Kortis of Neighborhood Cats, this intensive two-day workshop
will cover all aspects of working with feral cats and
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR).
The first day is
designed for feral cat organizations, veterinarians, animal shelters
and rescue groups, municipal officials, public health department
officials, and wildlife advocates. The focus will be on policy
issues and making TNR work on a community scale. The second day is
aimed at feral cat caretakers and activists and will cover hands-on
colony management, including trapping, feeding and shelter, advocacy
with municipal officials, and grassroots activism to spur on the
growth of TNR in your community.
